DAY TRIP TO MACHU PICCHU
A VISIT TO MACHU PICCHU CITADEL IS TRULY A ONCE IN A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE.
You will marvel at this spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Site, while also have the chance
to enjoy the village of Aguas Calientes, the beauty of the cloud forest and of course, the historical reserve,
truly one of the 7 Wonders of the World.
We have prepared a day for you that you will never forget, beginning with a wonderful, and highly experienced, guide picking you up for a (very) early departure to catch the train from Ollyantaytambo to Aguas Calientes. (We’ll pack a lunch and snacks for to enjoy along the way). Upon arrival you will have the option of taking a shuttle up to Machu Picchu, or hiking the 1.5-2 hour walk up to the site (you’ll want to decide this beforehand so that we can plan your day’s schedule accordingly). Upon arrival at Machu Picchu, your guide will give an extensive tour of the site, offering details and information that stem from years of experience and passion about Inca history and Machu Picchu. Afterwards you will have a bit of time to explore on your own and soak up the site’s magic. After your tour, you’ll have lunch in Aguas Calientes and have a bit of time to explore the shops and pick up a few souvenirs before catching your train back to Ollyantaytambo, and lastly your car back to The Green House.
Tour Package is $349 per person
(All of the above is included. Not included: water, souvenirs, tips for guide)

Note: Reservations for the train and entrance passes to Machu Picchu must be purchased at least a month ahead of time as they sell out quickly (earlier is better). An image of your passport is required both to purchase the tickets. The tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable (per the Ministry of Tourism of Peru) so we require that full payment is made ahead of time. Procedures & policies change frequently because of COVID. We do our very best to stay updated on those changes, so that we can pass on the most current and relevant information to you!
